Dear customer, this is the repair policy in the rare case that your Zippo lighter needs to be repaired (please note that the finish of the lighter is not guaranteed):

You must first check that your lighter has gasoline, flint, sufficient wick and is in good condition.

If you are in Mexico City, or any of the following states Veracruz, Puebla or Nuevo Leon we can provide you with more information so that you can go to one of our authorized distributors and they can provide you with the warranty service, in case you are not near any of these, the procedures are the following:

Send photos of the front and back and base (bottom stamp) that are damaged along with the model number if known to the email garantias@tabasa.com.

2 or 3 photos of the damage.
Proof or invoice of payment.

It is possible to specify the model.
A short video would be helpful.

Once the damage is validated, you will only have to cover the shipping cost of $250 MXP.

If the problem is in the hinge:

The outer case of the lighter will be repaired as best as possible and a new internal ignition mechanism will be placed inside the lighter case. To preserve the value of your lighter as a collectible, the original internal ignition mechanism will be returned to you in the same condition as it was received. You must send your lighter to Zippo Mexico covering the shipping.

Notes:

For safety, please remove the flint from the lighter and let the fuel evaporate for two or three days before sending it by the courier of your choice.

A repair will be sent to Zippo EU and takes approximately 3 to 5 months.

Once we have your lighter in our offices, we will contact you and we can send your lighter back to your home, the freight of $250 is the only thing you must cover, the repair is included in the warranty.
